The Southwest Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction (SW3) Scholarship Foundation was established to inspire and support college-bound students in their pursuit of academic excellence. Rooted in the vision of Bishop Samuel Duncan Jr., the foundation reflects his unwavering commitment to education and his desire to see young people succeed beyond the realm of athletics.

Founded in 2004, the SW3 Scholarship Foundation was born out of Bishop Duncan’s deep belief that education and spirituality together shape a meaningful life. He encourages students to channel their creativity into problem-solving and to reject violence as a solution. His passion for educational advancement continues to guide the foundation’s mission to provide scholarships that help students access higher education.

As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” At SW3, we believe education is the way to go.
